WELCOMING YOU HOME

Zion Lutheran Church is a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), located in the heart of Penn Hills.

In a world that cries out for wholeness and hope, we seek to show the love of God to the world and the community that surrounds us.

We hope that you will join us for worship on Sunday mornings, stay for fellowship and conversation following worship, sit in on bible studies and health and healing forums, or learn more about our outreach in the community through our food pantry, after school program and community meals.

Nourished and forgiven, we seek, with the guidance of the Holy Spirit, God’s hope and joy for this community and the world.

For those who need assistance, Zion's building is wheelchair and walker accessible. Extra wheelchairs are also on hand as well as large-print bulletins and assisted listening devices. Please ask one of the greeters if you are in need of assistance.

Food Pantry

We keep growing and growing! Please continue to support this mission as we share our blessings with our neighbors in Penn Hills and surrounding communities.  We welcome all donations.
*The pantry is open for drive-thru distribution on the 2nd Saturday of each month from 9:00-11:00am

Christian Education

Zion provides learning opportunities for all ages to grow in the faith. Sunday School for all ages and catechism classes are held on Sunday mornings after worship. Afternoon and evening Bible studies are held weekly.  Throughout the year, classes on special topics are offered.

Mission & Outreach

Zion's work doesn't stop when the worship ends - you can find us contributing to our local community through the Food Pantry, the Zion Apartment, before/after school programs through local agencies, various anonymous groups which meet here, community-wide events onsite, and many other outreach efforts
